[Bento.me](http://bento.me) is sunsetting.

So after many years of putting off building my own site, I found myself forced to. I liked the layout and usability of Bento.me and figured I could build something very similar using WordPress.

This is what I had there:

I decided to fork Rich Tabor's [Kanso](https://rich.blog/kanso/) theme which is nice and minimal and tweaked it to make the layout similar to what I had in Bento.

Plus added in this blog you are reading and a couple of pages that I'll need to work on; including a read.cv (which has also been sunset — sigh) inspired [Resume](/resume/) page.

And this is what my version looks like as of right now:

Anyways, here it is, this time I have full ownership and will be able to play with it, so that's cool.

I'm guessing the next post can be me geeking out in the technical details.
